THE ADVOCACY is action-oriented and crisis experienced. We have significant business acumen to thoroughly evaluate an operating entity and to identify managerial and financial shortcomings that will be quickly addressed in a crucial survival plan. Our focus is to obtain client trust and to participate in a proactive role in structuring and implementing an aggressive and viable turnaround. IT IS NOT WITHIN OUR SCOPE TO MERELY MAKE PASSIVE RECOMMENDATIONS. Our founder and managing partner, Marc E. Brown, has published numerous articles on crisis management and corporate turnarounds. He was a member of the Small Business Administration's Task Force on Small Business and Economic Stability in Washington D.C. and has testified before congress on key issues affecting small business, growth capital and banking. He has founded a manufacturing company, a national technical sales agency and a world-wide apparel manufacturer/distributor. He is a registered tax representative and has been nominated "Small Business Person of the Year". Teamwork is an essential element of a successful turnaround. The ADVOCACY'S staff is trained to provide independent third party objectivity and to make decisions pertaining to operations or personnel that may be difficult for existing management or owners. This independence results in improved relations and a renewed credibility with lenders, trade creditors and taxing authorities. Our staff works very effectively with existing managers and employees who are committed to the company's success and long-term profitability.
